Finally!! Ok, here's the scoop.  It's done and available for download. The program works with either Nova or Ham Radio Deluxe.

Everything I could think of is contained in the download package.  You MUST either read the .doc or .pdf file.  They are the same but just to try to cover everyone I thought I'd include both types.

The schematic for the controller board called circuit.jpg should be most helpful as it seems to lend itself to printing a nice diagram. (I've seen some that couldn't be read on the screen let alone printed.)

NOTE: I probably wouldn't use this system with a dish type antenna.  The beamwidth would probably be to narrow for this type of tracking.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Download the files from here.

Question:  While loading the program, I get an error message that some files are out of date and I should update them.  It doesn't work.

Ans: You should run the update program for your operating system.  More than likely you have not installed the service packs. Secondly, in the directory you unzipped the files into is a file called 'setup.LST' there is also a file called 'setup.LS'.  You may have to delete the file with the .LST and rename the suffix on the .LS to LST.  Some operating systems have a problem with Visual Basic 6.

Question:  Do I need to have the Nova for Windows program?

Ans: Not necessarily Nova for Windows, but there are other programs out there at you can either buy or download free if you want to do automated tracking.  You can do manual tracking without the Nova program.

Question:  Do I have to recalibrate the antennas everytime I use the program.

Ans: What I have recently found out is computers are not all the same.  It may be necessary to set the 0 az/el readings more often but not do a full recal.  If you need more info email me and I'll explain it better.
